Hi friends!

First step is OK!!!

Now the experimental release "B" of my sensor is under Stress for testing....
I have improved the sensitivity....now the distance over 16 meter 

I have implemented two new functions too....
*The first is "AUTOLEARN" function: with the switch in this position the sensor acquire the code of the ir-coded turret in front of it (you can choose from 16....) and memorize it
*the second is "CODED" function: with the switch in this position the sensor wait for an IR BEACON (the experimental coded hi-power beacon is under test) emitting the code memorized with the "autolearn" function. The sensor active only if it recognize that code
Other beacon are ignored
*The third function is the "old all ir beacon": in this function the first beacon active the sensor; after this you have a "dark-time" (you can choose from 4 dark-time selection)....during this time the sensor "sleep" and don't catch anything... like the first old model

SO NOW YOU CAN HAVE A VERY VERY PROFESSIONAL and FLEXIBLE IR SENSOR 

This week end i'll write new instruction for the new sensor and then i'll post it

Next week i think i'm ready with the new super power coded IR beacon turret 

I'm working too for the possibility of choose the position of the "eye"...in front of lateral...under simply request

Wat ik me nou afvraag he....hoe gaat dat me de grote jongens in de motogp? die zullen toch niet rijden op een IR signaal.

The question was what kind of technic the moto gp boys use.

Clear....
For time-lap they use a RF trasponder.
In fact is the only way to have a very precise time stop.
There is an antenna (a Cable) under the race- track start/stop line and a coded radio on the bike (with bike code).
The antenna is very very directional so it catch radio signal of beacon on bike only when it is on the line and the antenna tooo.
My sistem is similar but use Infrared.
With gps, thet at max can have 10 hz of update , you an obtain a precision of about 1/10 of sec. (update ten times at a second)
With special gps system you can improve precision but they are more more expensive.
Gps usually is used to show bike position on track.
